  • The audience seemed to like you.

  • I hear that they edited it and dubbed it with some lame static sound. That really sucks because from the videos I’ve seen, it sounds pretty good.

  • Congratulations! I’m very curious as to why the TV broadcast didn’t seem to capture the sound of the coils at all, though. Did they not know how to properly set up the mics for giant EM field emitting transformers? Clearly everything worked as intended, though, as the audience and judges were totally wowed, as they should be.

  • Loved watching the fan reaction to the music. I felt Sharron was a little buzzer happy at the beginning.

You’d think that they’d be able to pick up the sounds of the Tesla Coils quite easily, it’s clearly audible over some distance and with a lot of background noise (Just as it is at Flipside).

If you haven’t seen the audition, Gizmodo has a good video and explanation of it:

Your fans want to know where and when the next level of auditions will be!

  • Was so surprised to see you perform! And so happy :) I agree, that the sound didn’t seem to come out on the TV very well, not even as well as the you-tube videos. Seems like they kinda missed the point that the lightning WAS part of the music. Maybe you should bring it out sooner, next time? Or stress that point? Maybe you did and it was edited out, but it didn’t seem to come across… and maybe that’s why Sharon didn’t like it so much…

I hope you guys do really well and continue to progress in the contest! I’d totally go to Vegas to watch you perform again :D

  • That made me mad how they edited your music. Your coils ARE the music. That’s like editing out lead guitar from any given rock band. You don’t do that. You guys rock, though! Keep doing it!!

  •      Ed on June 9th, 2010 at 1:52 am
  • you guys fricken rock!! screw what sharon says she doesnt know what shes talking about. anybody that can play music like that should win the contest! hope u guys go far in it, hopefully win!

  •      sandra on June 9th, 2010 at 4:45 am
  • You guys’ show is fabulous, you know that! The substance of what you do is completely engrossing, BUT!, you saw the judges’ faces before the coils turned on. You GOTTA get more stage presence going. You can’t rely just on the Tesla Coils. Beef up the costumes, mic that electricity, get some action going in each individual and put on a stage act that would make the most raucous of rockers jealous. You have to keep EVERYONE on the edges of their seats every minute. I’m rootin’ for ya all the way! Oh, and I also posted about your appearance on LiveJournal SteamFashion to get more supporters as well! Rock hard and hugest of luck!

  • Hi! I saw the audition last night and I thought it was so freaking AWESOME!!! :D I’ve never heard of you guys before! I have no idea why!!! And I think everyone else who commented here is right about how the noises from the Tesla coils were edited. When I was watching it was said that the coils made part of the music, but I was listening, and, even though I had never watched any of your performances before, I knew something was wrong. Those weird staticky noises didn’t fit with the whole awesomeness of the electricity. At all.

Hope you guys come out on top! ^_^

  •      Nicole on June 10th, 2010 at 4:18 am
  • guys, what you do is so cool! unfortunately I had no idea they coils made music till i hit you up on you tube. I hope they fix things for your next step in the compitition… it might actually help you as people didn’t see it before… I am really excited to see if you guys can bring it to the next level!

  •      rob on June 10th, 2010 at 3:50 pm
  • Your audtion on americas got talent was top notch! I didn’t notice the cils tohugh. Why would they take out the best part of your already kickass audtion. LOL. My friend says fighting gravity is better but I tottaly like yours (like everyone else I know) As long as you be creative and step it up you actually will probably win. Just watch out for future funk and fighting gravity. XP

  • you guys are fucking epic. i want to have sex with all of you

  •      Anon on June 30th, 2010 at 4:14 am
  • Well, I’ve waited quite a while for this and, look what you’ve done! You passed right through Las Vegas and got a ticket straight through to Hollywood!!!! HoohRah! Just remember what I mentioned before. You gotta make a COMPLETE stage production out of your performance. EVERYONE needs to be dressed to the nines and always doing something! Best of luck!

  •      VeniceParrish on July 7th, 2010 at 5:06 am
  • Laser Harp. You should add a Laser Harp to your band.

  • Checking in one last time before the big day! I know you already have your act together by now, but I just have to say again, you need LOTS of action for your Hollywood audition. No street clothes, no standing around. Every single inch of the stage MUST be alive with something. The Tesla coils can’t be the only thing that’s electrified! Greatest of luck!

  • Good luck at your live show tomorrow night!

  •      Vicki on August 2nd, 2010 at 10:01 pm
  • Lets just hope that the hack AGT audio engineers have their crap together tomorrow night. I worry about your chances if they pull the same crap as last time.

  •      Allen on August 2nd, 2010 at 11:21 pm
  • Looking forward to your big TV performance. Hope the sound crew gets it right this time.

  •      Intolerance on August 3rd, 2010 at 2:48 am
  • ArcAttack is the shit, but they could try adding a singer. you gotta admit it be pretty sweet

  •      austen on August 4th, 2010 at 3:35 am
  • PATRICK!! Remember you hosted and cooked at the Matt Rollins Memorial barbecue supper in Elgin TX. You were so wonderful and kind to patiently sit and speak with my wife (Cheryl) as she had an episode.

Patrick we are SO proud of you and Arc Attack! I’ve got goose bumps as I write this. When you showed me your web site I knew you were going to take off. And you guys have done it!

Austin boys with one of the singularly most high tech spaced out amazing musical acts ever to go public!

We watch each show and vote for you each time!

Take it all the way guys! All The WAY!

  • The performance you guys gave Tuesday was fantastic! Congratulations on advancing to the next round! I’ll be voting for you guys all the way and can’t wait to see you guys live again (hopefully in Vegas!). Best of luck. Keep being awesome.

  • Hey, I was wondering if you could do something with Frankenstein? I just think the “lightning” would be appropriate. Especially to add something new; whether someone puts a flame retardant mask on and “come to life” or some other movie, play, etc. to add entertainment to your performance. Also, I’m a big fan of Christmas lights (blinking to the music of TSO)so, I was wondering if there might be a way for the tessla coils to control turning lights on and off around you (besides on you). These are just a couple of ideas, but I think you guys are already awesome! I can’t wait to see what you have in store and yeah, as someone already posted, the tv audio really sucks for being able to hear the coils :( Good luck!

  •      Curious on August 7th, 2010 at 4:35 pm
  • Wow, It was so long ago that you guys posted about the audition that I completely forgot to watch it on tv!!!
But I just opened the browser and you guys were on yahoo’s main page :P
amazing job at the show, by the way

  •      Alex on August 7th, 2010 at 10:17 pm
  • Great act. I’m not sure what else you can do to WOW the judges (and it’s probably a bit late to add something new to an already dangerous act).

But if you could add something new… I saw a Korean drum act and the lead performer had a long whip-like tassle from his cap that he swung in huge arcs. As I watched you I thought if you had a conducting whip on the top of your head the lightning would swing in a big arcs and circle and be even more brilliant. Could you add non-poisonous but conductive gases to your act to make an artificial aurora? And since you are already producing sound with the lightning “flame speakers” aren’t too far a leap and could add variety to an already fabulous act.

    Good luck. WLR

  • Dang. What was with the girl in the cage on the latest episode of AGT? (8-24-10) She kinda looked drunk or insane or just flat out on drugs or something. Anyone else agree? Kinda scared me how she acted.. All she could say was “Brains” Creepy?

  •      Jennifer Melina on August 25th, 2010 at 3:01 am
  • I was so utterly dissapointed when you were voted off tonight. Please come do a show in the midwest (Kansas City or Des Moines). I was impressed enough just watching the performance on television, I’d love to see it in person.

  •      Michelle P on August 26th, 2010 at 1:35 am
  • Call me a cynic, but I don’t believe you were voted off last night. Sorry that happened, but I feel confident you got the exposure you needed to go much farther with your show. Good luck guys!

  •      Jennifer on August 26th, 2010 at 6:34 pm
  • man i loved following you guys on AGT, weather you take off as a group, or sell coils for entertainers… you guys have made it and made it big!

  •      rob on August 27th, 2010 at 7:25 pm
  • I honestly think America loved your act, but the producers did not. They had to move people and the judges to another stage. They didn’t want to keep doing that, and changed the votes. There is NO way America could have thought that kite boy was more interesting than you. It says in the rules that the producers can change the results however they see fit.
I think AGT wasn’t ready for you, but America definitely is! You guys rock, and the addition of the zombie woman was absolutely excellent!

  •      Geoff on September 2nd, 2010 at 1:52 pm
  • I agree with Michelle P’s comment:

Call me a cynic, but I don’t believe you were voted off last night. Sorry that happened, but I feel confident you got the exposure you needed to go much farther with your show. Good luck guys!\

Please tell me it’s true! When will you guys be preforming in Vegas because I find it hard to believe that you guys were really voted off.
